This is a privately owned and managed award winning luxury camp that oozes atmosphere in an idyllic acacia woodland setting. Here you can relive the golden era of safaris with elegance, comfort and fine cuisine. The camp is set on the south western edge of Tsavo West NP. An underground spring feeds into pools on the edge of camp which are home to a resident pod of hippos.
Finch Hattons accommodates up to 50 people in spacious safari tents with double or twin beds, wooden flooring and permanent thatched roofs. Each also has a minibar, wooden Swahili chest, bookshelves, writing desk and large balcony with chairs, table and daybed. En-suite bathrooms have flushing toilet, hot water and showers with shaver and hairdryer sockets.
There is an elegantly appointed bar and restaurant, comfortable lounge area, a library cum reading room and an elevated swimming pool with shaded deck area. There is also a small gift shop. Dinner is a formal affair with 6 courses, fine bone china and crystal glasses, and imaginative and inspiring gourmet meals are served using only fresh Kenyan produce. The camp has its own airstrip.
